About Rockman

Seth Rockman is an LMSW and has been working with youth and families since 1995. He has worked in inner-city high schools, suburban intermediate schools, suspension sites, after-school programs, transitional residences, residential facilities and emergency shelters and has provided individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, crisis management and case management services to youth ranging from age 6 months to 21 years old. He has supported and empowered every demographic.

Over his career, Seth has facilitated panel discussions on best practices and has designed behavior management strategies for schools and families.  He’s created classroom support systems for teachers, built arts based after-school programs from the ground up and facilitated workshops for colleagues, parents and educators.  He has been trained in models used with survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence and has integrated his trainings into his daily work with youth and families. He’s also a published author, writing various pieces about the driving forces of youth, and strategies for maximizing influence with children and students.

Seth holds a B.S. and M.S.W. from Rutgers University and is currently a school social worker at a large public high school in Brooklyn, New York.
